We have come to the conclusion that food grade stainless steel is the optimal material for water bottles. There are no contamination concerns with these bottles (since there is no liner, like in SIGG bottles). And of course, they are so much more eco-friendly than plastic bottles that are simply thrown away after use. With all the latest on BPA toxicity in plastics, as well, stainless is appearing to be the choice for concerned consumers.
Please do NOT put this item in the dishwasher! We have heard from customers that after time, if washed in the dishwasher, the colored tint begins to chip. This bottle is designed for light hand-washing only.
Also, we recommend the silver (natural) bottle, because there is no tint on the outside that could potentially chip or scratch over time.

"This product is a great, light-use water bottle, if cared for properly (which means hand-washing). I really like the smaller size, which makes it easy to transport around when full. The carabiner clip is not very heavy-duty, though, so if you intend to clip this bottle onto something regularly, you may have to eventually replace the clip. Overall, I feel that it was a great value for the price. Serious hikers/ people who need a heavy-duty bottle should probably invest in something a little more expensive."
