Tooth Savior All-Natural Mouth Soap:
The Natural Soap for Teeth

Tooth Savior Tooth Soap

The Greater Green Screen Rating

This score is a ranking based on how natural,
eco-friendly, and non-toxic a product is, and is rated out of a possible total 5 stars.

STARS: 5 out of 5 stars for naturalness
COMMENTS: This product is so cool! It is 100% natural, totally effective, and produced by a fabulous small green business, by Maggie Hanus and her son, who cleverly refer to themselves as "soap bartenders". Located near Austin, Texas, A Wild Soap Bar uses lots of plants and herbs native to Texas, like yucca and horsemint, for refreshingly different soap products. I love supporting small green manufacturers who have dedicated their lives to providing safe and natural products that improve our lives! Want to see the soap shop and meet the soap bartenders? This soap for teeth does not contain fluoride! There has been so much debate lately over the use of fluoride in toothpaste, which is proven to reduce tooth decay, but is also a serious toxin in larger doses (main ingredient in rat poison).

Because of the intensity of the debate over the safety of fluoride, I feel it is important for everyone to decide for themselves whether they feel they should be ingesting products that contain fluoride or not.

Depending on which website you go to, you will hear entirely different arguments, one side claiming that fluoride is a "wonder substance", totally harmless iin the quantities we are exposed to, and the side claiming that corporate mongrels have dumped the fluoride situation on the public as a means of using up large quantities of a hazardous by-product. I am including links to both extremes, so you can decide for yourself. In the meantime, Tom's toothpaste is a great way to avoid fluoride until we know for sure.

Fluoride: Wonder Drug or Super Poison?

Fluoridation: Don't Let the Poisonmongers Scare You .

BENEFITS:
Wild white oak bark and organic aloe for healthy gums, french green clay to tighten gums and draw out harmful toxins, mineral rich chlorella and sea salt to aid in the re-enamelization process, xylitol to aid in the remineralization process, and pure essential oils to kill germs and help freshen your breath.

Contains no toxic fluoride, harsh abrasives, added glycerin, petroleum dyes, sweeteners, sodium lauryl sulfate, unsafe preservatives, or other harmful ingredients found in commercial toothpastes that actually damage your teeth and health!

Personal Recommendation

Get super clean teeth with our Tooth Savior™ Soap for Teeth . . . the all natural alternative to harmful commercial toothpastes. Now made with certified organic ingredients and enriched with xylitol which encourages the natural remineralization process that healthy teeth undergo.

Research has shown that teeth cleaned with natural bar soaps are far cleaner than those brushed with commercial toothpastes (even the so called "natural" ones) which contain loads of added glycerin that coats teeth and prevents re-mineralization.

Contains no toxic fluoride, harsh abrasives, added glycerin, petroleum dyes, refined sweeteners, sodium lauryl sulfate, unsafe preservatives, or other harmful ingredients found in most commercial toothpastes that actually damage your teeth, your health, and the health of our planet!

Instead, our specially formulated mint flavored tooth soap is made with organic extra virgin olive oil and enriched with wild white oak bark, organic aloe, french green clay, chlorella and sea salt.

Compare our premium organic & wildcrafted ingredients to any other tooth soap on the market and you'll see why our customers prefer Tooth Savior™ Soap for Teeth. We never skimp on quality because your teeth are worth it!

OUR EXPERIENCE:
This stuff is absolutely amazing! First, I know it looks incredibly weird. I was skeptical myself. But I have had the most painfully sensitive teeth for quite some time, and one of the purported benefits of this soap for teeth is the elimination of such sensitivity. I have been told by a number of dentists that I have lost most of my enamel, and that the only way to get any relief would be to use a high-fluoride toothpaste (like Sensodyne) for the rest of my tooth-full days, which is what I have been doing, until now.

I have spent the last five years unable to bite down with my molars into chocolate, dried fruits, or anything else sugary, as well as very cold foods or drinks, due to my painful sensitivity. Within days, and yes, I said days, of using Tooth Savior, my tooth sensitivity was almost entirely gone. I have been able to actually bite down on foods that I had never imagined I could once again.

In addition to relieving sensitivity, which is just one of the many benefits of this product, Tooth Savior also leaves my mouth feeling incredibly clean, with no sour or unpleasant aftertaste, even when I wake up in the morning. I have to admit the taste is not great, but it's OK, and the benefits make up for lack of flavor. This product does take some getting used to, but once my expectations of what a toothpaste "should" taste like were gone, I fell in love with Tooth Savior. I now use it every day.

I know that my teeth are doing great, but I have a dentist appointment in mid-February, after which I will add my dentist's comments on the overall health of my mouth since switching to Tooth Soap. Check back soon for that update- I'm looking forward to it!

UPDATE: I just had my dentist appointment on February 12, 2008. I am pleased to say that my dentist gave me an excellent report. Last visit (6 months prior), I had minor gingivitis, one cavity, and a decent amount of tartar build-up. Not this time! My gums are healthy, my teeth had no signs of decay, and almost no tartar build-up. Additionally, my dentist uses Dentin Block before she starts cleaning, due to my painful sensitivity, to help ease the pain during the cleaning itself. Even with the Dentin Block, I usually still have pain during cleanings, but I experienced no pain this time around. I actually left the dentist smiling!

UPDATE 09/23/09: I've just had my annual check-up after using Tooth Savior for almost a year and a half. This check-up included x-rays, which I was looking forward to as a solid indicator of my dental health. I was very pleased to have an overall excellent check-up, the x-rays showing all of my teeth to be in great condition. Once again, my dentist was amazed with the condition of my teeth and gums, and I am so pleased with the results of Tooth Savior!

NOTE: Because I live in a rural area and drink well water, I do use a toothpaste containing fluoride a couple of times a month, as a precaution (I like Tom's of Maine). There is no doubt that fluoride helps prevent tooth decay, but I believe we don't need it in our drinking water and in our daily toothpaste. A little bit here and there is plenty for me. If you drink fluorinated municipal water, you may find that that is plenty for you, but if you drink well water and have a poor family dental history (like me), please consider occasionally including a bit of fluoride in your dental routine, just to be safe!

Directions for Use:
As you can see in the photo, this soap for teeth comes in the form of green shreds. You take one shred, and bite down on it with your molars, so that it sticks to your teeth. You then brush over it with a moistened toothbrush, which causes the soap to foam, and you continue to brush until the shred has disappeared. The company says that this jar should last two people two months, but it is lasting me significantly longer.

We also recommend Eco-Dent's Daily Care Mouth Rinse for anyone who is having mouth sensitivities, pain, or just wants to keep their mouth clean and fresh naturally. With baking sods, echinacea, goldenseal, and other healing natural ingredients, your mouth will thank you for it!

Something Else...

We are very sad to report that A Wild Soap Bar will no longer be manufacturing Tooth Savior, which means that when our current stock is depleted, we will no longer be able to offer this amazing product. We suggest you stock up on Tooth Savior now, since it has a shelf life of at least six months (and honestly, that is just a minimum, so as long as you haven't opened your container, it might last longer).

ALSO, the same company manufactures the most amazing herbal, natural soaps I have ever used! Check out A Wild Soap Bar's Soap Sampler. It will change your perceptions of what a soap should be forever! My personal favorite is their Wildflower Soap- an absolute must-have for the shower!

Here's what some of our customers are saying: *

"I had my first dentist appointment Friday, since I started using the Tooth Savior Ultamint tooth soap. I've been using it twice a day, after I brush with with Tom's of Maine non-fluoride sensitive toothpaste. The dental hygienist commented that stain, plaque, and tartar on my teeth were considerably less than when I last saw her at the beginning of December. She was impressed and wanted to know what I was doing differently. It was great to have an easier cleaning!”

-Mel S., Eagle River, AK

"I tried the tooth soap as soon as I opened your package today.  And let me tell you - my teeth have never felt so clean and tingly!  I've been brushing my teeth with baking soda at night and this far surpasses even baking soda's cleaning power.  My teeth still felt clean, even after I had my lunch.  What a great product.  I am looking forward to what it can do in regards to the tooth sensitivity I sometimes experience.  I am hoping that it helps in the re-enameling of my teeth because I have exposed the dentin on some of my teeth from over-cleaning.  Thanks for carrying the product and for your fantastic website!"

-L. Carley, Massachusetts

"I love Tooth Savior tooth soap!  It has a nice minty taste.  My mouth feels nice and clean after every brushing.  I have very sensitive teeth and my gums bleed easily.  The tooth soap was very gentle.  I will definitely buy Tooth Savior tooth soap.  Thank you for the sample!"

-Nin K., Houston, TX

"Tooth soap is very weird…  If you don't rinse, it definitely tastes like soap, but teeth feel VERY clean. And yes it will last longer [than what the packaging says], because I found 1/3/ to 1/2 a strip is enough to look like you have rabies [from all the foaming action]!"

-Elinor D., New York
